December 30, 2015 1 min read
It’s the end of another orbit around the sun, the changing of the calendar and the beginning of the new year. Often marked by resolutions, commonly the same as last years unfulfilled declarations.
As we mark the closing of one year and the start of the next, we are filled with nostalgia and promise. The things we didn’t do last year come to mind and we re-commit with a vengeance. We are onslaught with blog posts and algorithms of review. While everyone else is telling us about the highs and lows of 2015, I challenge you to be mindful and take your own summary.
While we look at the year look at homes, the places we live. How have they changed? Did you move? Does it need to change? Do you need to move? We are taking stock of homes, things that got done or didn’t, the old projects and the new. Appreciating what we have and making notes on how it can be better.
The new year is a time for mindfulness, to take into account the past and to set our base for the near future. So as we look back upon our passing year and take it in, let us not forget this is the mark of the beginning of the next year, a different calendar and a new orbit.
