A beginning can often come from the most unlikely of places. Sometimes you are forced into them, sometimes you stumble into them, and still, there are other times when you choose them. However you come to you it,  a new beginning is always full of challenges and possibilities. 

This new beginning started with an elevator. With the guest rooms upstairs, it was important that the grandparents would be able to come and stay. To make that possible, they needed an elevator to get upstairs. Sometimes, you have to go the extra mile to make sure your home is home for the whole family. 

When the renovations began, it seemed like a small project. But as with many renovations, it snowballed. The modern kitchen became a traditional kitchen with modern styling. An island transformed into its own special eating nook. And it all came together to blend in a coastal chic style, designed to honor the sound of the waves crashing ashore just outside the home. 

New England has a very distinct that feels so quintessential to the area. In designing this space, we wanted it to encompass both New England and modern styles. The result is a contemporary feel that makes this house a home. 

The main area of the kitchen is an addition to the space. It allows the cooks to have their own space, but feel connected to the rest of the home. The island and wet bar area create an excellent space for friends to share snacks and drinks while the main course undergoes production.

The rest of the home maintains the traditional New England vibe while adding some modern style. The dining room table is a work of art itself, and this home showcases many other vibrant pieces. Though not taking away from the incredible view of the Atlantic. The renovations of this home quickly became more extensive than was planned, but sometimes you just have to go the extra mile for your family. And the results benefit everyone.
